Future Plans: Spending More Time With My Art

Mon Nov 16, 2009, 11:04 AM
I don't know why, considering how much freedom I have in my life in terms of my work routine, but at times I am shockingly disconnected from my own creativity at times. I've been drawing all these years, and with all the half finished sketches I've done along with all the final stuff, it's shocking to think every time I drew something, I never once picked the page back up to resume work on it, which is probably what I should have done all along. And to top that off, when it comes to art, i am a brevity nut, meaning I've never spent more than 2 hours on an individual piece. I've spent 1 to 2 hours here and there on certain drawings, but never more than that. I need to fix that. My drawings would probably be more detailed if I kept working on individual pieces on and off throughout the course of a month, year, or few. I mean, when exactly is a detailed piece of art finished? Never, technically speaking. It can always be more detailed.

Yo! You took all your pics down again? Why?
And when do I get to see those city pics I asked for? And if thats not bossy enough for you (LOL) then tell me which would be better for me, Painter X or this new thing called Autodesk sketchbook? I am leaning tward Sketchbook because it is more for pencilers like me, were Painter X is more for painters. But end the end I think I am going to get both of them, I just don't know which one to get first. P.S thanks for the pep talk the other night, it made me feel better and helped me forget what happend. Thanks. ^^

Um, I'd recommend getting whichever software is most suitable for whatever it is your skill niche is. That sounds like the sketchbook to me.

I'll note you about the rest...
:iconmangafang:
Ok I got it. I think I will get the sketchbook. Then a few weeks later I can get the painter x if I want. :D

Hey *Omnitron could I commission you? I can't pay you for anything though :(, but I figure I can rely on you to draw some awsome alien cities. So what do you say you wanna draw me some wicked cool modern alien cities? You get full credit even if I redraw them. *begging*
